About us…
In the 1980’s a group of Christian college students were studying at Rutgers University, under the Lord’s sovereignty, were moved to gather together, to give themselves to the Lord and seek His will, and were being so attracted and encouraged deeply in their hearts to have the desire to pursue together regarding Christ and the practical church life.
The first home meetings of these Christians were then started in 1981 in the neighborhood of Rutgers University. With the blessings of the Lord, with the support from several brothers and sisters from the church in New York city, and through the laboring of the saints in one accord in the spreading the gospel – new believers were constantly being added to them by the Lord.
In 1986, the Lord finally responded by leading these college students and by taking hold of the town of Franklin Park. The church in Franklin Park was born and by 1988 they acquired a property in Franklin Park as their meeting hall (which was a nursing home, “Emanuel Home”, previously owned by “The Brethren”). During this time, indeed, the Lord truly blest the church with the increase in number from a few scores to several hundreds. By early nineties, prompted by the burning desire to further the Lord’s work, the brothers and sisters started to extend their reach to the northern and the eastern parts of New Jersey.
As a result, two more churches were established by 1994, we as the Church in Manalapan in the eastern part of New Jersey; as well as, the Church in Nutley in the northern part of New Jersey. Moreover, the Lord continued His move by establishing the Church in Piscataway on August of 2007. Today (2025), we really worship and honor the Lord Jesus, that the number grew to eleven (11) churches in the State of New Jersey. Who could do this….but the sovereign Lord and Christ!
We earnestly look forward before our Lord, for fellowship with all believers in Christ in every locality in New Jersey and beyond. We continue to realize that it is He, our dearest and most precious Lord, that initiates everything – according to His will and desire. Everyone that has been received by God becomes a spontaneous living and functioning member of the household of the faith; and as one of many vital constituents of the Body of Christ, the church. And as commissioned y the Lord and under His rich mercy, we desire to serve God and express Him as the Body of Christ – according to His pleasure, under His will, and according to the teachings in the holy scriptures, the Bible.
With a warm welcome, we would like to invite all those pure-hearted pursuers of the Lord to join us in testifying that the Church is the new man, where there can be no differences in background, race, culture, or social status, but Christ is all and in all.
